StageOne - A Christian Drama Cooperative
StageOne is a Christian Drama Co-operative willing to serve all the churches and other groups in Folkestone.
We have a packed schedule in our weekly programme of workshops; we teach each other and occasionally have others to help and inspire us in core drama skills, comedy, play writing and readings, improvisation, singing and music, poetry and even a bit of opera and Shakespeare. Nothing is beyond us!
StageOne is a partner organisation to Churches Together in Folkestone.
Our aim is to be all encompassing
Our aim is to further the use of drama in a Christian context in the Folkestone area, by providing training in a relaxed and friendly environment and by providing a resource that the churches of the Folkestone area can use.
When do we meet up?
We meet each Tuesday evening from 7:45 till 9:30pm, at Folkestone Methodist Church on Sandgate Road, Folkestone (opposite the memorial garden and clock tower). Anyone 16 or over is welcome to join us.
StageOne presents
Aladdin will be taking place at Sandgate Road Methodist Church in February 2012. A brilliant story presented in tradtional panto humour with a brilliant cast.

This Week
Directing Workshop 24th January 2012
This week Malcolm lead an exciting workshop where we discussed directing and observed Malcolm direct members in performing three sketches. StageOne also had a guest leader, Ian who is the resisdent organist for Folkestone Methodist Church. StageOne has a fun time singing their hearts away to some classics such as "Consider Yourself" and others.
Aladdin 2012
Rehearsals for Aladdin continue. We are progressing very well with costumes and technical bits nearly ready. Tickets are now on sale.
Next Week
John will be leading another illusions workshop. These are always fun. There is also a planning meeting.
