Roger Smith - Chairman/Co-TreasurerRoger leads our Comedy sessions and have helped to develop our ongoing Inside-Outside sessions -all the world's a stage - ha! ha! ha! Accents and funny walks as well as radical approaches to familiar bible stories and parables all make for great fun - I'm serious now!
John Simpson - Treasurer (And Intrepid Mountaineer!)
A friendly, well-meaning nutter who can’t say ‘no’ to things! Looks after the local promotion of StageOne and StageOne events. Also leads Technical workshops, Drama from the Saints workshops and other quirky items from time to time. Part of StageOne’s creation and previously Chairman for 3 years. Happiest behind a big, analogue sound-desk!
Adam Grannell - Publicity OfficerAdam enjoys taking part in StageOne and likes the Core Skills workshops in particular. Adam redesigned the stageone website in 2008 and is the website guru and blogger.
Adam now maintains it on a weekly basis with what's happening and is forever adding to the StageOne blog. If there is anything happening in StageOne, Adam will not be far away with his camera!
Sue Roe - Secretary and Leader Of Core Skills SessionSue is the Secretary for StageOne and is the point of contact. She leads Core Skills and Sketch Acting workshops which she regularly and thoroughly enjoys. One of the founder members of StageOne, when she's not acting, she also enjoys music and living with her adorable cats!
Malcolm Robertson - Representative of StageOne members and Leader Of Poetry WorkshopsAs one of the newer (and older!) members of StageOne, Malcolm has always been struck by the friendly and encouraging atmosphere within the group. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done it before, now’s the chance to try. Poetry is one of Malcolm's passions, and has had the opportunity to lead sessions where he get to choose the poems! From Spike Milligan to Shakespeare, you’ll never know what’s coming next!
Shelly Homles Shelley enjoys the fellowship and friendship of everyone at StageOne. Shelley loves being involved in all things to with drama particularly acting, but also enjoys writing sketches and plays. Shelley is a big fan of Lord of the Rings and does a mean Gollum impression. Shelley does not like peas and is sometimes referred to as "Private Pea" amongst over things. However, she partial to Jaffa Cakes and Fox's Creams!
Matthew McLellanMatt occasionally leads workshops which tend to be a bit experimental in nature, such as 'stomp', advertising, and musical improvisation. Matt is ginger and proud of it, and is rather ironically also known by his alter-ego "Captain Carrot"!
Michael Hale - Leader Of Play Reading Workshops Michael has some 15 original plays and translations under his belt. One recent comedy/drama of his (Church Outing) has won him high praise both from the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Williams, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
He has also written a children's adventure novel (The Secrets Of Venture Park) which has proved popular with children and adults alike and which can be purchased from Folkestone Library or ordered from Bookshops. He is currently halfway through a sequel to this (The Secrets Of Silver Water).

Wayne QuigleyWayne is a member who had no dramatical interest's until his first performance of Alice in wonderland and now take great pleasure in performing and widening his dramatical knowledge through StageOne work shops. If any thing he is proof that you don't know if you like something unless you give it a go.
PhillipPhillip likes coming to StageOne every week. Phillip likes Bruce Forthsyth and other comedy people and performs some great impressions.
