About StageOne
Who are we?
StageOne is a Christian Drama Co-operative willing to serve all our churches and other groups in Folkestone.
We have a packed schedule in our weekly programme of workshops; we teach each other and occasionally have others to help and inspire us in core drama skills, comedy, play writing and readings, improvisation, singing and music, poetry and even a bit of opera and Shakespeare. Nothing is beyond us!
StageOne was formed in 2004, following a series of theatrical productions at different churches across Folkestone and a desire to bring these common skills to one focal point.

Developing skills and confidence
A wide variety of skills and workshops are offered, aiming to develop people's stage skills and confidence across all aspects of theatre and performing arts. This is done in a relaxed and informal atmosphere; pressure is not placed on people.
There is no membership fee; we simply ask for a weekly sub of £1.50, free for first-time visitors.
Our aim is to be all encompassing
Although StageOne is a Christian group, our aim is to be all encompassing. Some of our activities are specifically Christian, some are subtly Christian and some are non-Christian.
When do we meet up?
We meet each Tuesday evening from 7:45 till 9:30pm, at Folkestone Methodist Church on Sandgate Road, Folkestone (opposite the memorial garden and clock tower). Anyone 16 or over is welcome to join us.
